Mother Teresa once said, “To God there is nothing small. The moment we have given it to God, it becomes infinite.” In verse 1 of Psalm 127 we read, “Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain.” The psalmist is warning us against an attitude of self-sufficiency in this text. An amazing truth is that God wants us to find blessing and fulfillment in our work, but it needs to start and finish with Him.
